Sing hallelujah to the Lord

This is inspiring to see and hear. A defiant little light in all the darkness. Christians in Hong Kong alongside everyone else in Hong Kong are encircled by the tendrils of a totalitarian state. Staring the beast in the face. But singing God’s praises.

Hong Kong was supposed to be governed under “one country, two systems” (with Hong Kong a free and democratic people) after the UK handed over Hong Kong to China in 1997, but the communist Chinese party which have ruled China since 1949 never kept that promise. They’ve encroached on Hong Kong’s democratic freedoms and rights for years.

There are approximately 900,000 Christians (of any stripe) in Hong Kong. That’s in a total population of approximately 7.4 million.
